NICTA has met the requirements of the National Information and Communications Technology Authority Act (the Act) in relation to plans for the delivery of the universal access and services in 2018 and the five-year period to 2022.
NICTA is seeking the comments and views of interested parties and members of the public on the following documents that will be available on the NICTA website (www.nicta.gov.pg) from Monday, 11 December 2017:
Written submissions and comments on these documents and the issues that are associated with the universal access and services delivery and funding in the period covered should be submitted to NICTA before or by the deadline of Monday, January 15, 2018.
All written submissions should be emailed to: consultations.submission@nicta.gov.pg by close of business, Monday, January 15, 2018. Copies of submissions received will be published on NICTA’s public register consistent with the requirements under section 229(3) of the Act. Any respondent that wishes to claim confidentiality over information submitted should follow the procedures set out in the current guidelines on the submission of written comments to public consultations and public enquiries, which are available on NICTA’s Public Register at www.nicta.gov.pg.

Pursuant to the requirements of the National Information and Communications Technology Act 2009 (the Act) in relation to UAS Projects, NICTA hereby informs all interested parties and stakeholders of the commencement of the Public Consultation for 2019 UAS Projects.
NICTA is seeking comments and views of interested parties and members of the public on the 2019 UAS Projects. The Consultation document will be available on the NICTA website (www.nicta.gov.pg) commencing Thursday, 02 August 2018.
NICTA will also be conducting a series of regional consultation meetings with interested parties and stakeholders as shceduled below:

NICTA hereby informs all stakeholders of the commencement of the Public Consultations for Universal Access and Service Projects for 2020 and invites all stakeholders to submit project proposals.
All stakeholders including the general public, ICT licensees, businesses, community groups and educational institutions are invited to submit project proposals for consideration and evaluation by the Universal Access Secretariat of NICTA. The proposals should seek to promote and contribute to the attainment of socio-economic development goals of government through ICT infrastructure, services and improve the availability of ICT services within the country particularly in unserved and under-served communities and areas. Interested stakeholders are advised to complete the Project Proposal Form “Form UAS 002” and submit the same to NICTA. The Project Proposal Form is available on the NICTA website (www.nicta.gov.pg).
NICTA will also be conducting a series of regional consultation meetings with all interested parties. The consultation meetings are scheduled as follows:

NICTA further advises that following receipt of submissions, NICTA may issue a draft 2020 Projects Report for public consultation before it can submit its Final Report to the Universal Access Board for consideration.

NICTA hereby informs all interested parties and stakeholders of the release of the Consultation Paper on UAS Projects for 2020. The projects proposed in the Consultation Paper includes projects proposed by NICTA as well as some proposals received from interested parties including those proposals received in response to NICTA’s call for 2020 UAS Projects that closed on 7 June 2019.

The Strategic Planning Report provides a useful context, delineating the UAS objectives, and planning framework to assist the annual process of UAS Project identification and ranking. It should be noted that Strategic Planning Report is not binding and serves as a guide and for informational purposes. The Strategic Planning Report is available on NICTA/UAS website (www.nicta.gov.pg).
NICTA is inviting stakeholders, licensed operators and the general public to submit Universal Access Projects for consideration to be implemented in 2021. In this connection NICTA has also prepared the draft proposals aimed at promoting discussion and consideration.
This document has been prepared for the purpose of facilitating industry and wider public discussion on the UAS projects for 2021. The document contains projects NICTA considers as critical for implementation and invites comments and inputs from the public and interested parties.
Following consultation, NICTA will finalise the Report for submission to the UAS Board for consideration. The UAS Board will prepare a UAS Project report for submission to the Minister for Communications for consideration.
In developing the projects proposal for 2021, NICTA has taken into account the Government’s Vision 2050 Strategy, the Medium Term Development Strategy (2018-2022), Development Strategic Plan 2020 to 2030 and the UAS Strategic Planning Report.

The National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) invites all interested stakeholders and members of the public to participate in the public consultation process for the Universal Access and Service (UAS) Projects for 2025.
NICTA has released a Consultation Paper outlining the proposed UAS Projects, and is seeking feedback, comments, and suggestions from interested parties. The Consultation Paper can be accessed online via NICTA’s official website at www.nicta.gov.pg. Hard copies are also available at NICTA’s Head Office in Hohola and at the UAS Office located on Level 3, Rangeview Plaza.
All written submissions and comments must be sent by email to: consultation.submission@nicta.gov.pg no later than close of business on Friday, 22nd November 2024.
Submissions will be made publicly available on NICTA’s Public Register in accordance with subsection 229(3) of the Act. If confidentiality is requested, respondents must adhere to the procedures outlined in NICTA’s guidelines on submitting comments to public consultations, available on the Public Register at www.nicta.gov.pg.
